Project Overview

This project focused on the design and preparation of tender documents for the Al Nazla Infiltration Basin in Jabalia. The aim was to manage stormwater runoff by utilizing deep infiltration wells and other components to facilitate groundwater recharge. The design incorporated a comprehensive stormwater catchment network, reinforced concrete box culverts, geotextile layers, sheet piles, and other associated infrastructure to ensure effective infiltration and water management.

Role of CEP in the project

Designed the stormwater infiltration basin, including deep infiltration wells filled with gravel, large reinforced concrete box culverts, gravel and geotextile layers, and sheet piles.

Developed detailed designs for the stormwater catchment network, ensuring it effectively channeled water to the infiltration basin.

Prepared tender documents, including technical specifications, construction drawings, and project timelines for the installation of the infiltration basin and related infrastructure.

Designed landscaping and fencing to ensure the safety and aesthetics of the site, as well as additional facilities required for maintenance and operation.

Ensured that all components of the design complied with local standards and best practices for stormwater management.
