Project Overview
This project focused on the design, Tender Documents, and construction supervision of an effluent recovery and irrigation scheme in North Gaza. The project aimed to recover 35,600 m³/day of treated effluent infiltrated into groundwater for the irrigation of surrounding agricultural land, with a system covering an area of approximately 8 km in length and 2 km in width. Key components included the design of recovery wells, collection pipes, storage tanks, booster pumps, an extensive irrigation network, and the integration of renewable energy sources.
Role of CEP in the project
Designed 27 recovery wells, 5 km of collection pipes, 2 water tanks (5,000 m³ each), 8 booster pumps (750 m³/hr each), and a 100 km irrigation network to ensure efficient water recovery and irrigation for surrounding agricultural lands.
Developed comprehensive bidding documents, including technical specifications, construction drawings, and project timelines for the recovery and irrigation schemes.
Supervised the construction process, ensuring that the design specifications were met and that the project adhered to both quality standards and environmental regulations.
Designed and integrated 29 PV solar systems (500 Wp) to power the recovery wells’ UPS units, 9 solar systems (300 Wp) for irrigation zones, and 1 solar system (2,000 Wp) for the booster station control panel, contributing to the sustainability of the project.
Coordinated with the associated consultant, FCG International Ltd. (Finland), to ensure the successful completion of the project phases.
