Consultancy Services for Developing Wastewater Treatment Unit (WWTU) for Medical Wastewater from Health Facilities

Project Overview

This project focused on developing an onsite wastewater treatment unit (WWTU) with a capacity of 100 m³/day for managing medical wastewater from health facilities at the European Gaza Hospital. The aim was to ensure safe and efficient treatment of wastewater while aligning with regional and international standards.

Role of CEP in the project

Assessed the existing wastewater sources and treatment unit at the European Gaza Hospital to identify current inefficiencies and requirements.

Reviewed regionally and internationally available treatment technologies to determine the most suitable and effective solution for the project.

Prepared comprehensive tender documents for the design and construction of a 100 m³/day onsite treatment unit, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and operational guidelines.

Provided technical guidance to ensure the project adhered to environmental and health standards.
