Project Overview
This project involved delivering a training and capacity-building program for contractors in Gaza, with a focus on improving management and financial skills essential for the successful execution of construction and infrastructure projects. The training modules covered a wide range of topics designed to equip contractors with the skills and knowledge to improve their operational efficiency, financial management, and competitiveness in the construction industry.
Role of CEP in the project
CEP’s responsibility in this project was to design, develop, and deliver the training modules, covering the following core areas:
Cash Flow Management: CEP provided tools and techniques for contractors to forecast, track, and manage cash flow, which was critical to sustaining operations and handling financial challenges.
Project Management: The training helped contractors develop effective project planning and execution skills, emphasizing the importance of time management, resource utilization, and risk mitigation to avoid delays and cost overruns.
General Management: CEP helped contractors build strong management capabilities, including strategic thinking, team leadership, and organizational skills, which were vital for long-term success.
Financial Oversight and Budgeting: By providing training on budgeting and financial controls, CEP empowered contractors to improve their financial decision-making and achieve better financial performance.
Tendering and Bidding: The training equipped contractors with the knowledge to accurately price projects, manage tendering processes, and submit successful bids that met client expectations and maximized profitability.
