Project Overview

This project involved conducting a feasibility study to assess the potential of using solar distillation systems to provide safe and clean water to students. The study included preparing full designs for the two most viable solar distillation system alternatives, along with their implementation plans. These designs were to be tested as pilot projects in two schools in the Gaza Strip and two schools in the Jordan Valley.

Role of CEP in the project

Feasibility Study: Evaluating the effectiveness of solar distillation systems in providing clean water for schools, considering local conditions, water sources, and energy requirements.

Design Development: Preparing detailed designs for the two most suitable solar distillation systems.

Implementation Planning: Developing clear implementation plans for the pilot projects, ensuring the systems could be tested in real-world conditions in both Gaza Strip and the Jordan Valley schools.
